The work will involve providing an interpreting service in Health Centers, going on home visits with health professionals and supporting individuals in accessing health services.
You will have experience in interpreting, translation, advocacy and a willingness to undertake training appropriate to the role. The interview process requires you to undertake an oral competency test in both English and the Bangla language.

Description:
Orange Street Studios has a number of new opportunities for volunteers aged 16 – 25 to be part of a city-wide art project in partnership with the Pierian Centre and John Easterby.
This project will see the transformation of one of Bristol’s most famous public spaces into an extraordinary ‘tent city’. For a period of 10 days from Saturday September 18th – Sunday September 26th, over fifty tents, printed with artwork by the people of Bristol will stand in College Green as united testament to the diversity of the population of the city.
Seen around the world, the ‘tent city’ symbolises sanctuary and security – often from conflict or crisis. This tent city will acknowledge the many people around the world who have been forced into refugee status and act as a metaphor and statement of Bristol’s rich cultural diversity.
When the project is complete, artwork from fifty different communities, districts, schools and marginalized, disadvantage or excluded groups will be presented as one, in a huge public installation.
The theme of this project is ‘Home, Histories and Hope’ and with one or all of these words in mind during the month of August, we are looking for volunteers to help develop this project.

Tree Aid works with communities in the Sahel region of Africa who are suffering from poverty caused by deforestation. Training and funding villagers to value, protect and grow more trees, Tree Aid supports some of Africa’s poorest people to become self reliant while improving the environment.
This is a key role in our Supporter Fundraising team. It is suited to a highly organised, experienced database professional with good communication skills and excellent customer service skills. The role will focus on administration of donations, donor correspondence and database analysis.

Accurate data inputting is key to this role as donation information flows to all teams and underpins management decisions. Description:
The Brigstowe Project, a small HIV charity based in Bristol, requires an experienced financial manager to support our strategic planning and oversee our fiscal governance.
If you are confident and proactive when it comes to finance, and want to use your skills to improve the quality of life for people with HIV, get in touch. You don’t need specific experience with HIV to apply, but a commitment to our strategic goals and organisational values is essential.
This will involve liaising with the Project Manager, Co-Trustees, Administrator and Bookkeeper, providing the Trustee Board with regular information, and attending monthly committee meetings and finance sub-group meetings.

You will organise and facilitate group volunteering activities for young people on the Choices programme. You will set up opportunities with a range of charities and community organisations, as well as creating engaging volunteering activities to deliver. You will work alongside, but not directly with, the Bristol vinvolved team.
Working alongside Connexions Engagement Workers you will run a day's volunteering with 3 groups each week during term-time, you will be responsible for carrying out Risk Assessments, evaluations and planning activities with the group.

Permanent full-time position in our residential home for mums and babies.
35 hours per week over five days (non-residential but some evening and weekend work is required with regular on-call availability outside these hours).

Description:
One25 Limited is a registered charity (No.1062391) with a Christian ethos providing services to women who are at risk or have a history of involvement in street-based sex work.
Naomi House is a One25 initiative which provides a therapeutic safe house for mothers (with babies or children up to 3 years old) where alcohol, drug misuse and sex work has been a problem. The project provides a high level of supported accommodation and as part of the therapeutic package of care, the women receive ongoing support in a variety of ways.
We are looking for a female full-time manager who will be responsible for the effective management of the home. She will manage the staff team and oversee the day to day running of the house. She will work closely with One25’s director and senior managers and with commissioning bodies and other relevant agencies.
Section 7 (2)e of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 applies.
Enhanced CRB disclosure and compliance with the requirements of the Independent Safeguarding Authority will be required.
